What Are DeliveryKit SMTP Notifications?

DeliveryKit SMTP Notifications helps you stay informed about your website’s email activity. You can use it to receive summary emails about your email logs and instant alerts when an email fails to send. This makes it easier to monitor delivery issues, review email activity, and keep the right people informed through email or supported messaging channels.

Summary Email

Summary Email lets you receive scheduled email notifications about your email logs. Enable it to send summary reports to one or more recipients on the days you choose.

In Notification Days, select the days when the summary email should be sent. In Notification Email Addresses, enter the recipient email addresses separated by commas. You can also use the {site_admin} smart tag to send the summary to the site administrator email address automatically.

The Next summary schedule field shows the next planned date and time for the summary email, so you can quickly confirm when the next notification will be sent.

Messaging Notifications (Email Logs)

Messaging Notifications lets you send email log alerts to supported messaging channels. If Failed Email Alerts is enabled, alerts are sent immediately for every failed email, and the selected Notification Days are ignored.

If immediate failed email alerts are disabled, notifications are sent only on the days selected in Notification Days. You can connect one or more channels, including Telegram, Slack, Discord, Pushover, Microsoft Teams, and Google Chat, then click Save Settings to apply your changes.

The Send Summary Now button lets you send a summary immediately, without waiting for the next scheduled time.

How Conditional Routing Works

Conditional Routing in DeliveryKit SMTP lets you send emails through different saved connections based on custom rule groups. You can create routing rules using conditions such as To, From, Subject, Message, and more, then choose how those conditions should match using options like contains, does not contain, starts with, and others. Each routing rule can use AND or OR logic to control when it applies. If an email does not match any routing rule, DeliveryKit SMTP will send it using your main sending connection.
Note: Conditional Routing is a premium feature and requires DeliveryKit SMTP Pro.

How to Create Conditional Routing

Once you have added multiple connections, you can create a new routing rule group, choose which saved connection should be used for that route, and then add one or more conditions such as To, From, Subject, or Message. You can also combine conditions using AND or OR logic to control exactly when that route should apply.

Add Conditional Routing

In your WordPress dashboard, go to DeliveryKit SMTP, then click the Routing tab.
Enable the Enable conditional routing rules option, then click Add New Connection to create your first conditional routing rule.

In the Send with dropdown, select the saved connection you want this routing rule to use.

In the first condition dropdown, select the email field you want to check for this routing rule, such as Subject, Message, From Name, From Email, or To.

In this example, we will use Subject.

In the second condition dropdown, select how the selected field should be matched.
In this example, we will use Contains.

In the value field, enter the text you want to match.
In this example, we use New Sale.

Click And to add another condition when you want multiple conditions to match in the same routing rule. For example, you can create a rule where Subject contains New Sale and Message contains Samsung S25.

Click Add Group (Or) when you want to create another rule group as an alternative match. This means the email can match either the first group or the new group to use the selected connection. For example, one group can check if Subject contains New Sale, while another group checks if To is exactly sales@yourdomain.com. If either group matches, that routing rule will be used.

Once you have finished configuring the routing rule and its conditions, click Save Settings to save your Conditional Routing.

Delete a Conditional Routing

To delete a single condition, click the trash icon next to that condition row. To delete an entire routing connection and all of its rule groups, click the trash icon at the top right of that routing block. After deleting any condition or routing rule, click Save Settings to save the changes.

Note: If you create only one Conditional Routing group, every email that matches that group’s conditions will be sent through its selected connection, while all other emails will be sent through your default connection. If you create multiple Conditional Routing groups, any message that does not match any of those groups will still be sent through your default connection.

Test Conditional Routings

The fastest way to test your Conditional Routing setup is to use the Mailer Sender tool in DeliveryKit SMTP. Go to DeliveryKit SMTP, then click the Mailer Sender tab. In the Connection dropdown, select Auto (Conditional Routing). This will send the email using your routing rules, and if no rule matches, your default connection will be used.

In the Compose fields, enter values that match or do not match your routing conditions, then send a test email to check whether your Conditional Routing works as expected.

Overview

DeliveryKit SMTP helps your WordPress site send emails reliably using SMTP/API mail providers, delivery logs, test tools, and routing controls.

For advanced capabilities, activate your license key in the License tab.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0 or higher
  • PHP 7.4 or higher
  • OpenSSL enabled on the server

Install & Update

Install

  1. Go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin.
  2. Upload the plugin zip and activate it.
  3. Open DeliveryKit SMTP from the WordPress admin menu.

Update from WordPress

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Updates or Plugins -> Installed Plugins.
  2. If a new version of DeliveryKit SMTP is available, click Update Now.

Enable auto-updates

  1. Go to Plugins -> Installed Plugins.
  2. Find DeliveryKit SMTP and enable Auto-updates.

Update from zip

  1. Go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin.
  2. Upload the newer zip with the same plugin slug.
  3. Click Replace current with uploaded when WordPress asks.

First-Time Setup

  1. Go to Connections and add your first mail connection.
  2. Set it as default connection.
  3. Go to Email Test and send a test email.
  4. Check results in Email Log.
  5. Activate your license key in License tab.

License Activation

  1. Open DeliveryKit SMTP -> License.
  2. Paste your purchased license key.
  3. Click Save License Key.

Once active, the tab shows status as Active and the action button changes to Revoke License.

Configuring Mailers

Configure Mailers lets you connect DeliveryKit SMTP to the email service you want to send through (SMTP or API), then choose which connection each email should use. In this section, you’ll add and verify a mailer, set the From name and email, and confirm delivery with a quick test. Once configured, DeliveryKit SMTP can route emails through the best sender automatically, log results, and help you avoid common delivery issues like spam flags and failed sends.

The Email Test feature in DeliveryKit SMTP allows you to quickly verify that your mailer connection is working correctly. It helps you confirm that your website can send emails successfully and makes it easier to identify configuration issues before using the connection for real website emails.

How to Send a Test Email

In your WordPress dashboard, go to DeliveryKit SMTP > Email Test.

Connection: If you only have one connection, it will already be selected. If you have multiple connections, choose the connection you want to test from the dropdown list.

To: Enter the email address where you want to receive the test email.

Send As: Select HTML or Plain Text to choose the email format.

The Subject and Content are generated automatically by the plugin template.

Click Send Email.

If the connection is working correctly, you should receive the test email in your inbox.

Troubleshooting

If you do not receive the test email, check the Email Log tab to review the error details.

If you are unable to solve the issue, create a support ticket at codemasterhub.com/support/ and include the exact error message so it can be reviewed.
